Topic: Registration for Professional Scrum Master Training with Ken Schwaber: While in town, Ken will be delivering his Professional Scrum Master (PSM) course as open enrollment in the executive conference center at Times Square. This is the first time Ken will be delivering this course in Manhattan and is the next step in the evolution of the original scrum master training. Registration for his training course is now open! Registration for AGILE NYC Talk: You can register for Ken's talk by either browsing through the eventbrite widget on the left or directly here. Overview: More organizations claim to be using Agile than Waterfall, and 84% of those report using Scrum as their Agile process. When Jeff Sutherland and I did a survey, however, only about 50% of those using Scrum were using iterative, incremental techniques. Amazing, since iterative and incremental provide the transparency and risk control that contribute to Scrum's agility. Ken will talk about what the consequences of this are, and what we can do. Videocast: ![]() Ken Schwaber co-developed the Scrum process with Jeff Sutherland in the early 1990s to help organizations struggling with complex development projects. One of the signatories to the Agile Manifesto in 2001, he subsequently founded the AgileAlliance and ScrumAlliance. He recently left the ScrumAlliance to found Scrum.org, to focus purely on improving the software development profession. A 30-year veteran of the software development industry (from bottle washer to boss), he has written three books about Scrum: Agile Software Development with Scrum, Agile Project Management with Scrum, and The Enterprise and Scrum. He lives in Lexington, Massachusetts with his family.
