Our second full-day Open Space Conference is scheduled for September 21st, 2012. We invite up to 150 professionals to self-organize themselves around interesting topics and engage to achieve great results. We are thrilled that the Agile Alliance continues to support this unique format organized by Agile NYC. We took the name for this OPEN SPACE from the US OPEN, which is also home in New York City. To create a safe, collaborative environment, our OPEN is 100% self-funded and sponsor-free and only you will decide if the OPEN will be another grand slam!
The Agile NYC Open is a unique full-day Open Space event with only one topic, the open space itself. As many of you know, during open space conferences, the participants will create a marketplace and agenda in the morning of the event. So everyone has the opportunity to either convene a session about a topic they feel passionate about or participate in somebody else’s session. It is the nature of an open space that we don’t know what we will be discussing until the morning of the event. In an Open Space event, the sessions are continuous and we were not breaking at a specific time for lunch or coffee etc. We do however provide coffee, tea, light breakfast items, lunch and beverages inside the venue.
The Agile Alliance has been a strong supporter of Agile NYC for many years. Like last year, we are proud to offer a very special offer for everyone attending the Agile NYC OPEN. If you are not a member of the Agile Alliance yet you can simply drop your ticket you receive when you register for the Agile NYC OPEN in the “Agile Alliance Membership” box during the event. We will then enroll you and waive the first year membership fee wit the Agile Alliance. That is not only a $100 Dollar value, the membership in itself will give you even more discounts and rebates to other agile community events around the globe.
As part of this year’s OPEN, we have reserved an area for audio and video recordings. That way we can additionally record results from the proceedings or appear on the next Agile NYC podcast episode with your host Jochen Krebs.
